Life is all about pursuing your interests and those who beg to differ normally repent at some later stage in life. Roz Savage is a living example of realizing your dreams as she aims to become the first woman to conquer the Pacific Ocean as a Solo Rower. Roz has chosen a carbon-fibre row boat and no one has ever achieved this feat in a boat such as hers. The current phase of her journey stretches 2600 miles across the South Pacific which begins in Honolulu and ends in Tuvalu. Roz knows that the toughest challenge would be crossing the equator as a number of rowers have faltered whilst attempting to cross the equator. Roz wants to draw people’s attention towards the environment change and how they can make a difference by reversing this change. She will row 10,000 oars a day symbolizing how people should walk 10,000 steps daily to cause less harm to the environment. Roz is unraveled by her past experiences where she was even evacuated by a rescue team and wants to complete her three phases of rowing to set the record and spread the message of saving the environment at the same time. This time around she would use solid ash oars instead of the carbon fiber ones that broke on her Atlantic Voyage.
